At Kyokushin Kaizen Dojo we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, what we use it for and what rights you have over it, under Law 81 of March 26, 2019 on personal data protection of the Republic of Panama and its regulations.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Kyokushin Kaizen Dojo, located at PH Edificio Dominó, Vía España, Floor 1, Unit 1, Panama City.
For any matter related to your data you can write to us at info@kyokushinkaizendojo.com or on WhatsApp at 6008-4433.
2. What data we collect
- Contact data: name, phone number and email.
- Student data: age, discipline of interest and, for minors, the name of the father, mother or guardian.
- Relevant health data: only if you enroll, and only what is needed to train safely, such as previous injuries, medical conditions and an emergency contact.
- Browsing data: pages visited and where the visit came from, through cookies and measurement tools.
- Testimonials: if you leave one, the name you want to appear under, your rating, your text and your email.
3. What we use it for
- To contact you to arrange your free class and answer your questions.
- To manage your enrollment, your payments and your attendance if you become a student.
- To send you payment reminders and notices about classes, exams and dojo events.
- To send you La Carta del Dojo once a month, our newsletter (in Spanish) with the blog articles. You can unsubscribe with one click from any issue.
- To publish on our website and social media the testimonials you authorize. Your email is never published, and you can ask us to remove your testimonial at any time.
- To look after your safety during training.
- To measure the performance of our advertising and improve our website.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data with your consent, which you give when you send us a form or write to us, and to carry out the contractual relationship when you enroll as a student. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties. We only process it through technology providers that serve us and are required to protect it:
- Meta Platforms: for our advertising forms and ad measurement.
- Airtable: where our records of students and prospective students are stored.
- Email and hosting providers: to send you communications and keep this website running.
6. Minors
Many of our students are children. Minors' data is only collected with the consent of their father, mother or guardian, who is also the person we keep all communication with. We do not direct advertising to minors.
7. Cookies and measurement pixel
This website uses the Meta pixel to know how many people visit our pages and how many complete the free class form. This tool uses cookies and may collect browsing data associated with your device.
You can block cookies in your browser settings and manage your advertising preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
8. How long we keep it
We keep the data of interested people for up to two years from the last contact. The data of active students is kept while the relationship lasts and, afterwards, for as long as accounting and legal obligations require. It is then deleted or anonymized.
9. Your rights
As the owner of your data you can exercise at any time your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, objection and portability. In practice, you can ask us to tell you what data of yours we hold, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, or to stop using it for a specific purpose.
To exercise them, write to us at info@kyokushinkaizendojo.com with your name and what you would like to request. We reply within the time limits set by law.
If you believe we did not address your request, you can contact the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI) of the Republic of Panama.
10. Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration. Access to our student system is restricted to authorized dojo staff and protected with a password.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the applicable regulations change. We will always publish the current version on this page, with its update date.
