THE RENTER: the person or group that books the space and signs the agreement.
The booking covers the date and time stated in the agreement, for the activity described. The price of the booked block is the stated total. The booking is confirmed upon acceptance of this agreement, availability confirmed by THE DOJO and the agreed payment; the balance must be paid before the start. Only the described use is authorized. The booking may not be assigned or sublet.
THE RENTER and their group must arrive fifteen minutes before the start time, exclusively to come in, change and get ready. Training starts and ends at the booked times. Fifteen minutes are allowed after the end time to pick up, tidy up, change and leave. These preparation and exit periods are included at no extra charge and may not be used to extend the training. On Saturdays and Sundays the minimum rental is two hours, even if the actual use is shorter.
Delays by the renter, instructors or attendees do not change the schedule: training ends at the booked time and everyone must leave within the following fifteen minutes. THE DOJO is not responsible for time lost due to those delays; the full booked block is charged and there is no refund, discount or make-up time. Any extension requires prior written authorization, availability and payment of the agreed additional rate.
If THE RENTER cancels more than 2 hours before the booked start time, by written notice received by THE DOJO, 10% of the amount paid is retained for administrative costs and the remaining 90% is refunded. If they cancel 2 hours or less before the start time, or do not show up, there is no refund or credit, since the space was reserved and prepared for THE RENTER. Rescheduling requires written agreement and availability. If THE DOJO cannot provide the space for reasons attributable to it, it refunds in full the amount for the service not provided; alternatively, the parties may agree on another date.
THE RENTER must take care of the tatami, mirrors, walls, furniture, restrooms, air conditioning and all authorized equipment. They are liable for any damage, loss or breakage caused by them, their instructors, attendees, guests or suppliers through misuse, negligence or breach of this agreement. They must report any incident immediately and pay the reasonable, documented cost of repair or, when repair is not possible, of replacement with an equivalent item. They are not liable for normal wear and tear or for pre-existing damage recorded at check-in. Damage will be documented with photographs, inventory or quotes and communicated in writing for review and payment.
Use of the tatami, the available training equipment authorized by the administration, bags, water fountain, changing rooms and restroom is authorized. THE RENTER must take care of each item and put it back in its place. During sparring exercises, a safe distance from the mirror must be kept, avoiding strikes, movements or contact against it; if that distance cannot be guaranteed, the exercise must be stopped or moved. THE RENTER must respect the capacity set by THE DOJO, keep the exits clear, supervise their group and leave the space clean and tidy. Street shoes on the tatami, food or drinks that could damage it, smoking, alcohol, illegal substances and alterations to the facilities are not allowed. Extraordinary cleaning attributable to the group is charged at documented cost.
THE RENTER organizes and supervises their activity and is responsible for the suitability of their instructors, the safety measures, the necessary protective gear and the supervision of minors. They must hold the authorizations and insurance required for their activity. THE DOJO must provide the space in a condition suitable for the authorized use. Each party is liable for its own acts and omissions under the law; this agreement does not exclude liabilities that cannot be waived by law. THE DOJO does not take custody of personal belongings and is not liable for losses unrelated to its own actions.
THE DOJO may suspend the activity in case of risk to people, damage or serious breach, stating the reason. When the suspension is attributable to the renter, no refund is due for the remaining time, without prejudice to applicable legal rights. The parties accept this agreement and sign it through an electronic signature platform that identifies the signer, records their consent and keeps the document and its signature record. The laws of the Republic of Panama apply.
These terms are published so you can read them before booking. Each booking is governed by the agreement signed electronically when it is confirmed, with its date, time and total.
